Aufruf zur Beteiligung an einer gewaltfreien Aktion gegen die NATO am 4. April 2009
Am 3. und 4. April treffen sich die Staats- und Regierungschefinnen und -chefs der NATO in Baden-Baden und Strasbourg, um den 60. Geburtstag der NATO zu feiern. Wir sind der Meinung: 60 Jahre NATO sind kein Grund zum Feiern, sondern ein Grund, gewaltfrei Widerstand zu leisten!

Continuity and discontinuity characterise a (post-)conflict environment. Certain aspects of pre-war configurations persist throughout an armed conflict, others change drastically. In most cases, however, not least due to the intervention of external actors, the (post-)conflict configuration presents an opportunity for local and national actors to (re-)position themselves.

"It is common knowledge that the Armenian diaspora has long been seeking to induce key governments around the world to make formal declarations to the effect that what happened in 1915 was in fact "genocide", and some 25 governments have done so, as have many lesser political entities such as sub-divisions of the state or cities. These efforts to legalise historical truth, as distinct from mourning historical events, is itself a political gimmick that does little to resolve the dispute, and makes diplomatic compromise more difficult and accommodation virtually impossible.
