Evaluating Peacebuilding Projects
KOFF Training
29.09.2010
bis 01.10.2010 ReferentInnen: Cheyanne Church (Independent Consultant / The Fletcher School)
How can we evaluate the results of a peacebuilding project? What are the crucial design questions that influence the evaluability of a peacebuilding intervention? How can we become better evaluation managers and evaluation consumers? These questions lie at the heart of a three-day training organised by KOFF in 2010.
This course on results-oriented evaluation of peacebuilding projects will provide an overview of how concepts of change can be applied to the full project cycle, and how decisions in the design stage influence the evaluability of a peacebuilding intervention. It will present key decisions for evaluation preparation and guidance for developing effective evaluation Terms of Reference. Training participants will increase their knowledge of quality standards and principles in evaluation and they will understand how different evaluation approaches affect both process and results. Furthermore, they will learn how to make maximum use of evaluations to foster learning and accountability.
